Galician-Style Sardines are one of the most traditional recipes in the Los Peperetes collection, deeply rooted in Galicia’s seafaring heritage.

This classic preparation was once the customary appetiser enjoyed by fishermen upon returning to port after long days at sea — a simple yet deeply flavourful dish that remains an essential part of Galician culinary tradition.

At Los Peperetes, our Galician-style sardines are prepared entirely by hand using natural ingredients sourced from local producers, preserving the authenticity and character of the original recipe.

We select only sardines caught during the night fishing season, when they are at their finest, and prepare them according to traditional methods with meticulous care to ensure exceptional quality in every tin.

Sardines (fish), olive oil, onion, tomato, bell pepper, spices, and salt. May contain traces of mollusks and crustaceans.

Enjoy straight from the can at room temperature, or heat slightly and serve with a good loaf of bread, either as a sandwich or on toast. Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
